Sophie Ellis-Bextor has managed to reach the top of the Spotify charts in the US after her hit was featured in Prime Video's controversial new film Saltburn.
The Golden Globe-nominated film revived Sophie's 22-year-old hit single “Murder On The Dancefloor” in one of the thriller-comedy's final scenes.
Fans obsessed over the new film on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter, resulting in Sophie's platinum-selling song shooting up the charts.
The main roles in the successful film are Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike and Richard E. Grant. The film is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell.
And in the very last scene of the film, Barry's character dances around a mansion completely naked while the song from 2001 plays in the background.

Sophie shared the great news with her fans and thanked viewers for playing the song over and over again since the film's release.
She shared a picture of the album on X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote: “xxxxxx thank you!”
The film follows an apparently working-class Oxford University student from Merseyside, played by Barry, 31, who falls in love with upper-class student Felix, played by Jacob, 26.
The song's second chart success comes after Sophie performed her own version of the Saltburn ending scene for New Year's Eve celebrations on Sunday.
She looked incredible in a colorful sequin dress as she weaved and kicked her way down the stairs to the beat of the song in a TikTok video.
Sophie spoke to Pink News in November about the use of her song in the film, saying: “I really loved the film.”
“It's funny because whenever you're asked if a song plays a role in something, you're always given a tiny summary or a rough idea of its placement.” I just thought it was brilliant. It's so beautifully shot.
The script is peppy and funny, sharp and witty, and then someone dances full-frontal naked to my song. I can't wait for more people to see it. It's quite an unexpected moment.'

Saltburn was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards: Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama for Barry and Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture Drama for Rosamund.
Rosamund, 44, plays Felix's mother. This nomination is her fourth and if she wins it would be her second Golden Globe, while Richard, 66, portrays Felix's father.
Barry, who is from Ireland, first gained widespread attention in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Eternals (2021).
For his role in the tragicomedy “The Banshees of Inisherin” (2023) he was nominated for a Golden Globe and won a BAFTA.
Jacob was best known for his role in the raunchy drama Euphoria before winning critical acclaim for his role as Elvis Presley in the biopic Priscilla (2023).
