Nick Carter is devastated by this new family bereavement.

He lost his sister Bobbie Jean. She, who appeared on the family television show House of Carters, died at her home in Florida on December 23 at the age of 41.
The 42-year-old Backstreet Boys singer broke the silence about his death on January 4 by sharing a throwback photo of him and Bobbie Jean as children holding toys. In the caption, Nick Carter emphasized the fact that he and his sister Angel are the only surviving Carter siblings, following the deaths of Leslie in 2012, Aaron in 2022, and now Bobbie Jean.
“It may take a lifetime to fully understand the loss my family has suffered over the years – most recently with the sudden death of our sister Bobbie Jean,” he wrote on Instagram. I'm completely shattered. Thank you for all your love and kind words. We are reminded once again that life is precious and fleeting and that we must cherish the time we have with those we love. I know she is finally at peace with God. I love you, BJ. »
A spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office told TMZ in December that Bobbie Jean was found unconscious in the bathroom. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The circumstances are eerily similar to Aaron Carter's death. The 34-year-old I Want Candy singer drowned in his bathtub in November 2022 after taking medication and inhaling gas.
The cause of Bobbie Jean's death is not yet known.
