Businessman Carlos Bremer Gutiérrez died this Friday at the age of 63, his company confirmed to the Mexican Stock Exchange. The Monterrey businessman was hospitalized this week after he fainted after suffering a pre-infarction in the offices of his financial group in San Pedro, Nuevo León. “It is with deep sadness that Value Grupo Financiero announces that Mr. Carlos Bremer Gutiérrez, Chairman of the Board and General Manager of this station, died today, January 5, in a hospital in the greater Monterrey area as a result of “complications resulting from the fainting he suffered on Tuesday, January 2, 2024,” he announced in a statement to the financial market.

Bremer Gutiérrez took over the general management of Value in 1993, coinciding with the arrival of a group of investors who capitalized on the station. Under his leadership, the financial group increased its equity capital and market penetration nationwide. The businessman's name shone even more after his foray into television on the show Shark Tank Mexico. Also known was his deep friendship with the singer Luis Miguel, which went so far that he was one of the main promoters of the revival of the artist's artistic career when he was experiencing his lowest hours.
In addition to his business activities, Bremer has been recognized as an outstanding sports promoter in Mexico, which earned him the National Sports Award win in 2016.
After learning the news of his death, the Confederation of Chambers of Industry of the United Mexican States (Concamin) expressed its condolences.
