Last Monday, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck Japan, claiming dozens of lives. Around a hundred people are still missing in the rubble.

“I hope we continue to come together to support those whose lives have been turned upside down,” Ohtani said. I hope that the missing people will be rescued quickly and the disaster areas will be rebuilt.”

The 29-year-old Japanese joined the Dodgers as a free agent on December 9th. He signed a record 10-year, $700 million contract.
