On both the iPhone and iPad it is possible to create a bookmark or a shortcut to a web page. This bookmark is placed on the home screen, allowing direct access to the corresponding page. Here are the steps you need to follow.
Load the website from Safari
First of all, it is necessary to load the desired website from the Safari browser.
Share page
Click the Share icon. A menu will appear on the screen. Scroll through the options until you see “On Home Screen.” Select it. You can change the link text if necessary. Finally, select “Add”.
Testing the link
The website icon appears on the homepage and, as you can see, is a custom icon. Now all you need to do is test whether this bookmark (shortcut) works as expected.
You can also move the bookmark to the desired field on the Home screen by holding your finger on the corresponding icon until “–” appears, and then moving it to the desired field.
