New York. Singer Michael Bolton announced this Friday the cancellation of several concerts on his tour while he recovers from surgery to remove a brain tumor.
In a statement on social media, Bolton, 70, said: He revealed that the tumor was discovered just before Christmas, after which he had to undergo emergency surgery, which was “a success”.
“I'm recovering at home surrounded by the tremendous love and support of my family,” the “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” singer wrote on Facebook.
His recovery is expected to take several months. Therefore, Bolton will take “a temporary break” from concerts.
The singer was scheduled to tour various cities in the US, Switzerland and the UK starting February 1. according to their website.
Bolton said he would provide more details as soon as possible.
