Blake Lively is officially back to work on the adaptation of Colleen Hoover's bestselling 2016 novel It Ends With Us.
Now that the Hollywood strikes are over – and she's given birth to baby number four – the 36-year-old Gossip Girl alum is donning the frizzy red wig again to take on the role of Lily Bloom.
The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters on February 4, but the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes halted production for months.
Blake wore her character's boho-inspired costume, which included patchwork jeans and a floral jacket with bright yellow sleeves, on set in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Justin Baldoni, 39, who acquired the rights to the book, plays Lily's husband Ryle Kincaid and is directing the film.

It Ends With Us marks Blake's return to the big screen after four years. Their most recent project, The Rhythm Section, was released in 2020.
Filming for the film began last spring in Hoboken, New Jersey. It tells the story of Lily, who moves to a new town after college to open a flower shop and falls in love with a wealthy doctor named Ryle.
Her happiness doesn't last long as Ryle becomes violent and abusive and her childhood sweetheart Atlas, whom she hasn't quite gotten over yet, comes back into her life.
Hoover previously revealed that It Ends With Us was “the hardest book I've ever written” as it is based on the relationship between her parents.
As of 2019, the book has sold over 1 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 20 different languages.
Thanks to TikTok's #BookTok community, the book saw another surge in popularity at the end of 2021.

It Ends With Us was the best-selling print book of 2022 and remained on the New York Times bestseller list for over 90 weeks.

Hoover is the best-selling author in the United States, with over 20 million books sold. Her sequel to “It Ends With Us” titled “It Starts With Us” was released in October 2022.
Baldoni — best known for his role in “Jane the Virgin” — optioned “It Ends With Us” through his company Wayfarer Entertainment in 2019, with writer Hoover serving as a consultant on the film.
Christy Hall (creator of the Netflix series “I Am Not Okay With This”) is writing the screenplay adaptation and also producing.
Both Lively and Hoover serve as executive producers. A release date has not yet been announced.
