Good deal – The Shark FlexStyle hair dryer "4 stars" for €199.99 – Les Numériques

The American Shark introduced its first styler during IFA 2022. Sometimes a hairdryer, sometimes a curling iron, the FlexStyle uses the Coanda effect to shape the hair. Another advantage of this styler: its price positioning is much lower than that of its main competitor, the Dyson Airwrap.

The Shark FlexStyle is a very serious competitor to the Dyson Airwrap. Its swiveling head and numerous attachments make it a versatile device, sometimes as a hair dryer, sometimes as a styler. The accessories are easy to attach and the device is well made. In the test, the FlexStyle proved to be a control freak and managed to generate even heat that didn't put any strain on the hair. Its airflow has a wide spectrum and is suitable for all hair types. On the other hand, we complain about poorly placed and less ergonomic controls as well as a shrill noise that is more than annoying.

The Ionic Dry 2200 is a traditional hair dryer that does no harm. Although the airflow is restrained, the performance remains very correct for an entry-level device. This Remington doesn't shine with its ergonomics either, but it adopts the codes of the classic hair dryer, making it an intuitive device. And finally: if the noise level is tolerable, the consumption is too high, regardless of whether it is hot or cold.
