It wasn't easy, but Marc-André Fleury wrote a new page of history in the Minnesota Wild's 4-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night at Nationwide Arena.
In fact, the Quebecer eventually tied with Patrick Roy for second place in National League history with the most wins by a goaltender with 551.

However, with more than a minute left in the third period, there was no sign that the Sorel-Tracy American would pull off this feat of weaponry as his team trailed 3-2.
While Fleury went to the bench in favor of a sixth skater, he had to return to his net as Justin Danforth single-handedly scored the winning goal for the Blue Jackets.
However, Fleury made an incredible save by throwing himself onto the ice. In the ensuing sequence, the Wild regained possession and Marcus Johansson equalized to send the two teams into overtime.
In extra time, the 39-year-old goalkeeper parried a shot from Yegor Chinakov with an incredible glove save, ensuring his club stayed in the game. Ultimately, it was Marco Rossi who gave his team victory.
In the loss, Cole Sillinger scored a hat trick for the Columbus team. Matt Boldy also scored two goals for the visitors.
The Bruins handle the Lightning
The Boston Bruins won 7 to 3 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Twelve Bruins players scored at least one point. Trent Frederic (two goals), David Pastrnak (one goal and one assist), Matthew Poitras (two assists) and Hampus Lindholm (two assists) all had two points. Morgan Geekie, Charlie Coyle, Jake DeBrusk and Charlie McAvoy also gave the local favorites the red light.
The only positive point for the guests was the performance of Nikita Kucherov, who scored a goal in addition to two assists. Brayden Point was the other Bolts player to hit the mark.
Andrei Vasilevskiy had another difficult night, conceding six goals on 26 shots. Linus Ullmark made 23 saves in the win.
Pettersson and Miller have fun against the Devils
Elias Pettersson and JT Miller had a successful evening on offense in the Vancouver Canucks' 6-4 win over the New Jersey Devils.
The two catalysts of the Vancouver offense each scored two goals and an assist. Pettersson finished his night of work with a +4 differential, while Miller posted a +5 performance. Quinn Hughes was also involved in three of his teammates' goals.
Colin Miller caused a stir for the local heroes twice. Erik Haula and Brendan Smith were also successful.
Devils star Jack Hughes was out of uniform after suffering an injury against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday.
