Golden Globes Red Carpet: The best dresses and fashion looks – The Cut

In recent years, the Golden Globes have been marred by scandals. In 2022, after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association boycott, there was no show at all (for good reason: there wasn't a single Black person on the voting body). Sure, Rihanna was in attendance last year, Jennifer Coolidge accepted another award in typical Jennifer Coolidge fashion, and the HFPA added six new black members. but has that really made up for the past? Nonetheless, the 2024 show and red carpet will certainly be interesting, especially after the win for Hollywood that marked the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike Seat assignment of the table alone.

The evening celebrates the best of film and television and brings stars including Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, Quinta Brunson, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Danielle Brooks, Rosamund Pike, Mark Ruffalo, Robert De Niro, Jeremy Strong and Selena Gomez , Greta Gerwig, Pedro Pascal and many more (seriously, too many more) on the red carpet. Below you'll find all the looks, updated live.

The 2024 Golden Globe Awards red carpet takes place today at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, starting around 6:30 p.m. ET.

While the awards portion of the Golden Globes will air on CBS, the red carpet pre-show will air on Variety's digital and social platforms as well as the Golden Globes website.

Some of the best-dressed stars are likely to appear, including Timothée Chalamet, Emma Stone, Margot Robbie, Pedro Pascal and Ryan Gosling, who are all nominated. Robbie has been on an epic Barbie tour, still wearing all pink at the Palm Springs International Film Awards this week, and Chalamet always looks fabulous (sometimes backless) on the red carpet. Other people likely to be there (or at least we hope) include Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, Angela Bassett and Billie Eilish, the latter of whom is sure to show up wearing sunglasses and a perfectly oversized look.

Every awards show has swag bags, but this year's Golden Globes bags are worth half a million dollars and will be given out to every single nominee. And they are individualized. Each nominee can choose from a range of luxury activities and items, from a five-day luxury yacht charter in Indonesia to a bottle of the world's most expensive wine. I'm happy that the money is going to those in need. JK, of course.
