Outlander: These two participants who caused chaos on the set of the series – Télé-Loisirs

The atmosphere on film sets is not always good. While in certain series beautiful love stories emerged between the main actors, in others there were tensions, such as in particular in Charmed between Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano, rumors that were confirmed by new revelations from the actresses. In the case of the adventure series Outlander, which can be seen on Netflix in France, it is a completely different story. The two “actors” causing trouble on set are two animals: Rollo, young Ian’s dog, and Adso, Claire’s little cat. Two actors who visibly sow “chaos,” in the words of actress Caitriona Balfe, who plays Claire, and Maril Davis, the series’ executive producer.

Outlander: Rollo and Adso sow trouble

While Outlander fans will undoubtedly appreciate the presence on screen of Rollo and Adso, two very cute characters from the series, this is not the case for the team, who have difficulty working calmly with these two animals in their paws . “We all love cats and dogs, but no one likes animals on set,” remarked Maril Davis during a festival appearance. “They cause chaos. And no matter how many times people say, 'But they're trained,' no.” They don't care if you film a show, that's not their problem. According to Maril Davis, there are about a hundred shots in the Outlander production in which Rollo is “looking in the opposite direction than the direction he is asked to look.” With the cat, however, it seems to be a little easier, as Caitriona Balfe points out: “At least Adso stays there, he's a cat, he doesn't care, but he's very sedentary.”

Outlander: What can we expect from Part 2 of Season 7?

Given these statements, but especially the finale of the first part of season 7, should we fear for Rollo's life in the rest of the series? Although Claire feared that Adso had died in the fire in her house, she eventually found her little cat safe and sound. Rollo, on the other hand, could face the wrath of Arch Bug, who wants to avenge the death of his wife, who was accidentally killed by young Ian. Mr. Bug has therefore vowed to attack those Ian loves, and Ian is particularly fond of his dog. Rollo therefore represents a goal.

At the end of Part 1 of Season 7, Claire, Jamie and Ian left the United States to return to Scotland, while Roger went back in time with Buck, his ancestor, to find Jemmy, who was kidnapped by Rob Cameron. Diana Gabaldon's novels, of course, give a hint as to what could happen in the second part of the series. In the book, Jamie and Claire have a sad surprise when they return to Scotland: Ian, Ian's father and Jenny's husband, is seriously ill. Claire tries to save him, but also receives a letter from Fergus and Marsali informing them that their youngest child is sick. So she returns to America to help them. At the same time, Roger and Buck arrive in 1778 looking for Jemmy and Rob. They will meet their ancestors. But the truth about the kidnapping of Roger and Brianna's son is completely different… The Outlander series will have an eighth season, which will also be the last, and a spin-off about Jamie's parents called “Outlander: Blood of my Blood” continues.
