Piero was born in Salerno in 1979 and, after studying law, decided to move abroad, first worked in Venezuela and then moved to New York. Then, in his free time, he began to tell his friends who remained in Italy about the various curiosities and peculiarities of the metropolis and he thought about transferring them to social media, thus creating his fortune.
A path that was certainly not easy and also proved to be hard, as he himself explained a few months ago next to the photo on Instagram in which he posed smiling and satisfied with the certificate that made him an American citizen in all respects. My trip to New York today is a solid business reality, and from a story on social media, it has grown into a full-fledged business with an office, as you can see by visiting the travel agency's Instagram profile. Italians who want to visit the Big Apple rely on it, and as Armenti explained to Il Mattino: “The recipe for success is very simple: passion and transparency. I know what tourists expect from us and we do everything to satisfy them.”
Piero admitted that social media has been of great help to him as it has helped to spread the word about their business and it is also thanks to them that he can count on similar successes today. Originally intending to pursue a career as a journalist, Armenti came to New York twelve years ago, in 2011and has never left it since, although he revealed that Americans don't like it that much because they find it very chaotic, while on average they like more peace and quiet.
But the tour operator advises anyone who wants to move to give it a chance: “It's a city that you can love or hate, but it doesn't leave you indifferent.” For us Italians, this is really exciting, because in this chaos we feel really free from the gaze of others.”
