The series “Suits” was an unexpected phenomenon in the world of streaming in 2023. That's why it wasn't a big surprise that the stars Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams have been selected to present an award at the 2024 Golden Globes. The actors who played Harvey Specter and Michael Ross They made fans happy by appearing on the red carpet together before the show began at the Beverly Hills Hilton.
What was completely unexpected was the very direct reference they made to her former partner on the show, the current Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle.
The “Suits” chat
Match and Adams confirmed that much of the “Suits” team has a text group in front of and behind the cameras where they share memes, videos, comments and even news. There they learned that the series' producers were preparing a sequel in the “Suits” universe based in Los Angeles.
“It’s the same world, but in a different city,” Adams said. “Suits” is set in Seattle. Although none of them have been cast in the project, which is in “early stages,” they are more than ready to return to the characters that made them famous. Of course, they doubt that Markle's role will return to fiction.

Is Rachel Zane returning?
Gina Torres, another actress from the cast of the legal series, also attended the Golden Globes and explained the reason why Markle is so cold. First of all, it's not in the text group. The reason? “We don’t have his phone number,” Torres said.
Considering Torres was one of the guests at Meghan Markle's wedding to Prince Harry, her unveiling was a big surprise.
Sarah Rafferty was also at the Golden Globes but didn't address the topic.

“Suits” and others in the Sussexes’ past
The Suits cast isn't the only one left in the Sussexes' past. It was recently revealed that the relationship with David Bekham and his wife Victoria Bekham, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has also broken down, allegedly because the British designer talked “too much” about some makeup advice she gave the actress.
According to the press, Markle also does not speak to her childhood friend Ninaki Priddy, her siblings, her father or to Canadian celebrity Jessica Mulroney, whose children attended the wedding reception.
Apparently, the dukes have also cut ties with Princes William and Kate, Harry's brother and sister-in-law, and have a distant relationship with King Charles.

The return of “Suits”
The series, based on the personal and professional lives of employees at the law firm Pearson Specter Litt, aired for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019. For fans eagerly awaiting a more formal cast reunion, the actors are scheduled to star and even appear as additional cast members on a panel at the 2024 ATX TV Festival, taking place in Austin from May 30 to June 2. Creator Aaron Korsh and cast members Adams, Rafferty and Dulé Hill currently star in the series and it has been said that the list will continue to grow.
Aside from the success it enjoyed at the time – and even the launch of “Pearson,” a series adapted from the one-season series – the series was given new life when it aired on Netflix. The drama unexpectedly broke all streaming records in 2023 and topped the Nielsen streaming charts for months.
Much of this success occurred in the summer, a time when fewer series are typically released, and coincided with two massive strikes in Hollywood that halted production and post-production of new series and films across the country.
“It was something incredible. The series was very successful when it aired and Netflix came and the craze was too much. We are very grateful,” said Match.
The publication EW confirmed in mid-October that original series creator Korsh has begun development with NBCUniversal on an untitled project set in the Suits universe.
