Donald Trump has filed a claim for presidential immunity in the Georgia lawsuit accusing him of trying to overturn the 2020 election results. In the documentary, Trump's lawyers argue that their client must be protected by presidential immunity because of his actions in his capacity as God President when he objected to the votes for Joe Biden. “Communicating with state officials about the administration of federal elections and encouraging them to carry out their official duties related to the election is the responsibility of the President,” Trump’s lawyers say.
“From 1979 to 2023, no president has ever been prosecuted for his actions,” they point out.
