Two people were killed in a shooting attack this Monday (8) in a hotel in the US state of Minnesota. According to the North American press, the shooter also died.
According to authorities, police received a report that an employee at a hotel in the town of Cloquet had been attacked.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman who had been shot. The North American press reported that the victim was taken to hospital but did not survive.
Police officers found another dead person in the hotel parking lot. CBS television said this prompted authorities to warn city residents to seek shelter and stay at home.
A short time later, the shooter was also found dead. According to the North American press, his body was outside the hotel.
The causes of the attack are being investigated. The recordings from the surveillance cameras were also evaluated by the police.
Cloquet has a population of about 12,000 and is located about 140 miles (220 km) from Minneapolis, the largest city in Minnesota.
