South Korean intelligence has released information that Hamas is using North Korean weapons in the Gaza Strip and Israel.

The announcement will be made this Monday, January 8th.

The information circulated after the American state broadcaster Voice of America (VOA) published images of a grenade launcher in the terrorist group's arsenal with Korean writing (photo).

This Monday, the local news agency Yonhap confirmed the VOA information with information from South Korean intelligence.

According to Yonhab, South Korea's National Intelligence Service gave the case “the same assessment as the VOA report.”

“Currently, it is difficult to provide such evidence due to the need to protect information sources,” he added.

In addition to the conflict in Gaza and Israel, North Korean weapons are also being used in the war in Ukraine, the White House announced on Thursday, January 4th.

Hamas rocket factory

In another story, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced this Monday, the 8th, that they had discovered Hamas's largest weapons factory since the start of the war against this terrorist group in October last year.

Located in Bureji, a densely populated civilian area in central Gaza, the factory lies underground, beneath the main road that connects the territory's north and south.

The soldiers found a strange building with a living room with sofas and a bathroom. In the next room they noticed the entrance to a staircase that led to a 20 meter deep tunnel that led to a storage room.

Inside the warehouse there was another tunnel that was much deeper and had an elevator. According to the IDF, the tunnel was connected to a large underground network used by Hamas to distribute rockets to all areas of the enclave.
