Macabre femicide in Bratislava, Slovakia, where a chef is accused of killing his partner in the apartment where they lived together and then cutting her into pieces to cook. In a room in the couple's home, authorities found a bucket containing the organs of the woman, identified as Patricia. The killer's name is Jozef Hanuska and he was arrested after days of searches that began after the 48-year-old's disappearance was reported. He now faces a life sentence. According to witness statements collected by authorities, the couple was known among their neighbors for frequent arguments.

What's more, the chef appears to have even threatened his girlfriend at one point, telling her he would “cut her head off.” The investigators' suspicions are confirmed by the fact that they caught the man in a basement next to the victim's body, lying in a pool of blood and mutilated. Hanuska had actually removed some organs. This included the heart that the man wanted to cook, according to local police. According to previous reconstruction, the couple had alcohol problems and it turned out that the father of the femicide, Stefan Pantl, was a murderer himself. Known as the “Bratislava Strangler,” he was sentenced to death in 1981 for the murder of two women.
