Actor Adan Canto from the series “A Faxineira and “Designated Survivor dies at the age of 42

Actor Adan Canto, star of “The Cleaner,” “Designated Survivor,” “Narcos” and the film “XMen: Days of Future Past,” died Monday at age 42 after an exacerbation of appendix cancer.

The artist was born in Mexico and grew up in the American state of Texas. He began his career writing music for Mexican television shows and films before moving to theater with a stage adaptation of “Tudo Sobre a Minha Mãe.”

He made his debut on Mexican television in 2009 with “Estado de Gracia.” In 2013, he came into the American spotlight with “The Following” alongside Kevin Bacon.

In The Cleaning Lady, Canto plays gangster Arman Morales, who recruits a mother as a cleaning lady for his criminal organization after she witnesses a brutal murder. Filming for the third season of the production was currently underway.

In Designated Survivor he was Vice President Aaron Shore, opposite the American President played by Kiefer Sutherland.
