A mobile application for Les Éditions Nordiques – Le Manic

Since this morning you can download for free the Éditions Nordiques mobile application, which brings together the Nord-Côtier, Manic, Haute-Côte-Nord and Charlevoisien newspapers.

After more than a year of work, this application will allow readers to be informed in real time according to their preferences.

“We can say that we have created a wonderful tool that further strengthens our leadership in information as a written medium.” When we say that our mission is to inform, it is further proof that we do Take responsibility,” explained Simon Brisson, President of Éditions Nordiques.

The user can select the news they want to read, receive notifications of important news, integrate their activities into a calendar and participate in their favorite media as a citizen journalist. The app is available on Apple and Android devices.

“Given the recent upheaval in the distribution of news on social media, I think this application is timely. Our information teams produce just as much news, competently and attentively. With this new medium they will reach more readers,” said Mr. Brisson.

The latter praised the work of its internal team and the companies IXMédia and Eugeniuses, which have worked countless hours to implement this technological advance.

“In the digital age, we can no longer rely on intermediaries to convey information to people. The app, as simple as it is, enables notification and therefore direct contact between the media and their audience. That’s where we want to be: a modern media, right on your phone,” said IXMédia President Carl-Frédéric De Celles.

“Welcome to the modern era,” Mr. Brisson concluded, proud to offer the people of North Shore and Charlevoix a mobile application worthy of the name.
