Vítor Jacaré, a player wanted by Sporting Cristal, signed with a Brazilian Serie B club

One of the signings that Sporting Cristal fans were expecting for 2024 was Victor Jacare, a 24-year-old Brazilian winger who played with Bahía in the Brasileirao (his country's first division) in 2023. However, the transfer of the “Lagarto” to La Florida did not take place and the Rimense club decided to reserve the last foreign place in order to strengthen later.

Although his entry into the first division was frustrated, the player did not lack offers to change jerseys. In fact, in the last few hours his move to a Serie B (second division) club was officially announced, which stylishly presented him as a brand new “Jale”.

Which club will Vítor Jacaré play for after excluding Sporting Cristal?

This will be Jacaré's new team after his time in Bahia America Mineiro, a club that finished last in the Brasileirao 2023 under the command of Fabián Bustos. The connection between both parties will be valid until December 2025, as described on Rabbit's website.

Why didn't Vítor Jacaré sign with Sporting Cristal?

As Brazilian media revealed a few days ago, negotiations between Cristal and Bahía over the transfer of Jacaré cooled down because the Tricolor club demanded more money in return for the loan. Shortly afterwards, president Joel Raffo indirectly confirmed that the player would not come, as the club first wanted to check how the team reacted with the other reinforcements (Cazonatti, Cauteruccio and González).

“At the moment we will see how the team reacts and adapts to these additions. We would save not only the foreign quota but also the other registration quotas to strategically use them later in the year if needed,” the leader said at a press conference.
