Ryan Gallagher injured himself with an angle grinder and shared the aftermath of the bloody injury on Instagram.
The Married At First Sight star shared two photos of his jagged cut and profusely bleeding hand on Saturday as he explained the mishap.
“Many thanks to all the RBWH staff who were so damn nice last week. “I had an argument with an angle grinder who was working on one of my cars,” the 35-year-old wrote in the caption.
He continued, “This put my two hands, the tendons and index finger of my left hand back together, reattached the tip of my rude finger, and put half of my fingernail back in place.”
Ryan went on to jokingly thank his young son and fiancée Emily Seebohm for taking good care of him.

“Sampson is wiping my butt now.” “Emily is a powerhouse and I'm grateful for her and her family to do what I can't do for Sampson for a while,” he said.
Former reality star and Olympic swimmer Emily gave birth to her baby boy named Sampson Ryan in September.
Ryan quietly changed his public Facebook profile picture on September 13 to show a photo of himself and Emily with their newborn son.
The couple announced their engagement in March last year after the couple met on The Challenge in 2022.

He continued: “This rejoined both my hands, tendons and index fingers in my left hand and reattached the tip of my rough finger and put half of my fingernail back in place.”
Ryan presented the swimming star with a trilogy diamond ring from Goulburn's Zantis Jewellers.
“When you know, you know,” Ryan told Woman's Day.
“I got nervous, though. The box bulged a little in my pocket. So either she knew I was proposing to her or she just thought I was happy to see her!'
Meanwhile, Emily explained that the couple's quick engagement follows the theme of their blossoming romance.
“We knew since last week (of The Challenge) that we had feelings there,” she told the magazine.
