Fire in the middle of a snowstorm in Quebec
As of 8:30 a.m. this morning, Quebec firefighters have been battling a major fire in a building on Pierre Bertrand Boulevard in Quebec.
So far, the fire department has raised four alarms and more than 60 firefighters are on the scene battling the blaze amid a snowstorm.
The building is very close to the Larouche Remorquage and the Hector restaurant, very close to the intersection of Boulevard Louis XIV.
A remote power interruption was necessary and requested by Hydro-Québec, resulting in a power outage for several hundred subscribers in that sector.

Firefighters must fight in defense mode for safety reasons, especially in the event of a roof collapse. In addition, the strong winds make the work more difficult as the strong winds encourage the fire to progress within the structure and make the job more difficult for firefighters.
So far there have been no injuries. According to the fire department, it is a commercial building.
It is still too early to determine the cause of the fire. At the time of writing, firefighters were still on duty.
