Billionaire Shahzada Dadwood's wife Christine gave an exclusive interview to the Chron.

Her husband and 19-year-old son Suleman died in the tragedy. The bodies of the two victims were never recovered.

When the woman learned that the wreckage of the submersible had been found, she burst into tears along with her daughter.

“We cried for 10 minutes straight. It was very painful. Come to think of it, they just sleep downstairs [de l’océan]”, she said.

The expedition near the Titanic wreck had been planned by the Dadwood family since 2018.

Christine had to accompany her husband on this adventure before leaving her to their 19-year-old son.

“Looking back, do I wish they hadn’t left? Of course, but I can't say that I would have stopped her from taking advantage of such an opportunity. If they had come to the surface and nothing had happened, the story would have been very different,” she continues.

The British-born woman is not only a widow, but also has to live with the loss of Suleman, who planned to work for her father's company.

“I still can’t go back to Suleman’s room. His belongings remain in boxes. I can’t empty it,” she adds.

“My son was born after an emergency cesarean section. I almost lost it. I thought it was an angel sent to me.”
