Samuel Montembeault escapes in interview

Samuel Montembeault was in Trois-Rivières, not far from his birthplace, on Friday evening for an autograph signing before the Lions game that evening.

The Quebec native traveled between two games in Montreal, Thursday against the San Jose Sharks and Saturday night against the Edmonton Oilers.

Montembeault also returned to that embarrassing loss to the worst team in the National Hockey League that he suffered the day before.

“We know we didn’t play our best game,” he initially admitted in an interview with JiC. It's a game we should have won, but the most important thing is to rest [aujourd’hui]to recharge the batteries and put on our work boots to face a good team [demain].”

Without meaning to, the 27-year-old goalkeeper also hinted that it would be him in front of the net against Connor McDavid's side, which made for a good TV moment.
