Mike Ward's wife sings for him on stage at Live from the Universe – Showbizz.net

Last summer we learned that Mike Ward had separated from Mary-Chantal Bertrand, his partner of 24 years.

He had been single for almost a year, but had not spoken about it publicly out of respect for his ex-partner.

He finally announced the news at his microphone at Sous Listen in April.

A few months later, during a special edition of his podcast, it was revealed that his new partner was the ex-lover of one of his comedian friends. Find out more here.

On Saturday evening, Mike Ward was France Beaudoin's guest on En direct de l'univers. While Ludovick Bourgeois performed the comedian's favorite love song (“You will never know” by BB), his love Bibi Benoit took the stage to sing a short passage from the ballad. The guest smiled from ear to ear. His visit surprised him and gave him great joy.

Bibi Benoit (photo here) is executive producer of the Entourage group. She has notably participated in numerous Just for Laughs galas since the early 2000s and also acts as an agent for certain Quebec artists.

Note that Mike Ward was also entitled to visits from several people close to his heart, including his manager Michel Grenier and his two great friends Erich Preach and Stéphane Fallu, who sang him excerpts from “Tokébakicitte” by Jérôme 50. Stop drinking! » by RBO and a rap by Snoop Dogg.

Boom Desjardins also offered him the classic from La Chicane, “Just to see the world”, and Patrick Groulx, in turn, played the song “J'attache mes patins” by Bob Bissonnette, which touched him very much.

One of his strongest reactions (besides the appearance of his partner) was the arrival of the singer Talk, his crush of 2023. He sang his big hit “Run Away to Mars”. If you like this title, we can warmly recommend the song “Afraid of the Dark” from the album “Lord of the Flies & Birds & Bees”.

Note that among the artists invited to Mike Ward's musical tribute were a father and son. Find out more here.
