Rio Preta Gil, 49 years old, has a new look! The singer got hairpieces and changed her hair color after battling colon cancer. The result of the transformation was shared on Instagram this Sunday by Gilberto Gil's daughter.

“New hair for 'Bloco da Preta'. Color 'black chocolate and honey,'” she wrote, thanking the professionals who took care of her transformation. “Yes, I lost a lot of hair during the treatment, but I didn't go bald. There were still a few strands left that allowed me to insert the hair extensions. Hair loss really affects us women undergoing cancer treatment, but hair grows, what matters is the cure!” he emphasized.
It didn't take long for Preta to receive a lot of praise from friends and fans. “You look so beautiful and radiant,” commented Fernanda Pontes. “Gata,” commented Adriane Galisteu. “Beautiful, my love!” said Bella Campos. “How nice. “It’s nice to see you like this,” emphasized an admirer of the artist.
At the request of her fans, the artist also showed what her hair looked like before the transformation. It is worth remembering that Preta returns to the stage on February 4th to celebrate 15 years of “Bloco da Preta”. The presentation will take place at the RioArena in the West Zone of Rio. Fight against cancer
Preta Gil was diagnosed with colon cancer in January last year after being admitted to hospital with stomach pains. Around three months ago, the singer had a tumor removed from her abdominal region. Therefore, he began using an ileostomy bag to defecate. The most recent procedure was carried out in November at the São Paulo South Zone Hospital, reversing a temporary ileostomy and reconnecting the artist's intestines. She continues the rehabilitation process and receives medical care for five years.
