He died on January 12th at the age of 98 Bill Hayes. The actor and his wife Susan Seaforth Hayes, They were part of the star cast of the soap opera Days of our lives for more than half a century. In fact, it was one of the series' representatives who was responsible for confirming the news, although he did not reveal the reasons for the death.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bill Hayes,” the aforementioned rep told People magazine. “Bill, one of the longest-running characters on 'Days of Our Lives,' originated the role of Doug Williams in 1970 and played it continuously throughout his life,” he added. “[Bill Hayes] and his wife Susan Seaforth-Hayes remained the foundation of the Williams Horton family for more than 50 years.”
Ken Corday, producer of the show, also spoke about the death of the famous man. “I have known Bill most of my life and he embodies the heart and soul of Days of our Lives,” he said. “As we mourn and miss him, Bill’s indelible legacy will live on in our hearts and in the stories we tell, both on and off screen.”
William Foster Hayes III, full name of the artist, was born on June 5, 1925 in Harvey, Illinois. In March 1943 he enlisted in the US Navy Air Corps. USA, where he trained as a fighter pilot. He was even awarded the American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal for his work.
