Coraima Gómez responds to criticism from Universitario fans for wearing the Alianza Lima jersey

The name of Coraima Gomez has been caught in the eye of the storm in recent hours after a video that went viral on social networks in which he is seen wearing an Alianza Lima T-shirt. Images that have been heavily criticized by a section of Universitario de Deportes fans, as the volleyball player is currently captain of the “U” in the LNSV.

As it is recalled, Gómez came from the youth team of the Alianza Lima volleyball team, in which he played for several seasons. However, he left the Victorian team on not very good terms and eventually became a permanent fixture at Universitario, a club where he gained promotion and plays in the National Higher Volleyball League.

Given this fact, the Universitario captain uploaded a statement on her social networks in which she pointed out that the viral video was past and not current.

“The video posted on the family’s TikTok account is a video from the past. It is one of the many trips I took with the man who is now my husband. At that time I was not at the Universitario. I apologize to anyone who was offended by this video because of the t-shirt I was wearing. It will not happen again. Hello,” Coraima wrote, followed by two cream and red emojis.
