Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba reported that a woman aged around 70 arrived in serious condition and died despite resuscitation efforts. Emergency services initially reported that at least 13 other people had been run over, two of whom were in serious condition. The number of injured then rose to 17.

According to the newspaper “The Times of Israel”At least seven children and young people were hit in the attack. A 16yearold teenager required surgery for head trauma and was sedated and intubated. Police Commander Avi Bitton described the case as a “very serious terrorist attack” and said intelligence was not ruling out the involvement of other people. The Ra'anana region is patrolled by dozens of police officers carrying out searches following the crimes. The suspects were Mahmoud Zidat (44) and his nephew Ahmed Zidat (25). According to preliminary police investigations, reported by Israeli newspaper Haaretz, one of the suspects stabbed a woman and took control of her car. After running over the first victims, the suspect lost control of the vehicle but still managed to steal another car and continue hitting pedestrians.
