Another new addition was Alejandro Restrepo, who has just managed Deportivo Pereira and had a great season in Libertadores with the Colombian team.

The strategist will look for his team to put together a team with great intensity and speed to fight for the national title, which they almost achieved last season.

The men's team concluded the event with a friendly against Once Caldas, which allowed Restrepo to give minutes to the majority of his team.

That evening also saw the official presentation of the women's team, reinforced with Rafaella Marques, Thaisa Renata and Steffani Otiniano, as well as the arrival of José Letelier as technical director of the Intimates. The Futsal Down team also took part in the ceremony.

The legends of Alianza Lima also had their moment. Former players such as Roberto Guisasola, Leao Butrón, Juan Jayo, Henry Quinteros, José Soto, Ronaldo Cruzado, Marco Ciurliza and Waldir Saenz entered the field and were applauded by the fans.

After its long-awaited presentation, Alianza Lima is practically ready for the start of Liga 1 2024. Those led by Restrepo will start the Peruvian competition on Sunday, January 28, against César Vallejo University at the National Stadium.

The Blue and Whites will look to return the favor this campaign and regain the title of the highest category of national football.

On the other hand, the blue and white team will compete as Peru 2 in the group stage of the Conmebol Copa Libertadores. The team from La Victoria will start a new international edition at the beginning of April.

Restrepo does not rule out further settings

Alianza Lima has made several signings in the current transfer market, but Alejandro Restrepo does not rule out the possibility of incorporating new elements for the Liga 1 2024 and the Copa Libertadores.

“Modern football shows us that as long as there is a market opportunity, the market is always open, both for arrivals and departures,” explained the Colombian coach.
