(CNN) – Awards season is officially in full swing. After last week's Golden Globes and Sunday's Critics Choice Awards, the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards kicked off this Monday at the Peacock Theater in LA, the third major red carpet event in just eight days.
Many of the same stars were in attendance this Monday, and some of the trends seen at previous ceremonies continued at this one, with black and red suits once again dominating.
Actress and producer Katherine Heigl attended a Grey's Anatomy reunion and kept it classic in a scarlet Reem Acra dress and a Marilyn Monroe bob. “Sucession” star Sarah Snook also went for old Hollywood glamor in an elegant Vivienne Westwood dress, while British actress and musician Suki Waterhouse showed off her baby bump in a bright red Valentino couture dress with strategically placed side cutouts.
Those who opted for sleek black outfits included Lizzy Caplan (in a vintage Yohji Yamamoto), Christina Ricci (in Saint Laurent) and Riley Keough (in Chanel). Meanwhile, The Bear star Ayo Edebiri was among the best dressed of the evening in a black leather Louis Vuitton dress with a structured bubble skirt.

It may only be January, but spring was definitely in the air on the Emmys red carpet. Many attendees opted for fresh shades of green, from Jessica Chastain's statement chartreuse Gucci dress to “Ted Lasso” star Hannah Waddingham's mint, beaded Marchesa dress.
There was no shortage of floral details either: on actress and comedian Ali Wong's embroidered Louis Vuitton satin skirt, on Simona Tabasco's Marni floral decoupage dress, and on her co-star in Meghann Fahy's custom Armani Privé dress. “The White Lotus”, one of many with rose motifs.
The theme also extended to men's clothing. Donald Glover, who was nominated for writing for “Swarm,” wore a floral velvet top and pants by Bode. Awards presenter Anthony Anderson also gave an entertaining take on the black-tie tradition in an Etro tuxedo with a beaded fleur-de-lis pattern.
