For the first time in his career, Mark Stone scored a regular-season hat trick in the Vegas Golden Knights' 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators on Monday at T-Mobile Arena.
Over the years, the captain led by example when it mattered most, scoring two hat-tricks in the playoffs. Last June, he scored three goals in a 9-3 victory that enabled the Knights to win the Stanley Cup in five games against the Florida Panthers.

Stone also played internationals against the San Jose Sharks in the Western Conference final on April 14, 2019.
In a two-on-one run with Alex Pietrangelo at the end of the second period, Chandler Stephenson surprised the opposing defense by passing behind to Stone. The latter defeated Juuse Saros for the third time, to the delight of the fans in Vegas.
Jonathan Marchessault sealed the game in an empty-net goal and Logan Thompson added 34 saves to his win.
Forward Brendan Brisson, the son of Quebec agent Pat Brisson, made his National League debut with the Knights. He spent 11:08 on the ice, made one shot and showed a differential of -1.
