A Brazilian is among those injured in a terrorist attack on Monday (15) in the city of Raanana, Israel. The information that there is a Brazilian among the victims was published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (16).

According to the ministry, the Brazilian is in stable health.

According to the Israeli Federation of São Paulo State, the city of Raanana is home to a large community of Brazilians.

One woman died in the attack and around 20 people were injured. According to the Portal news agency, the attack was carried out by two Palestinians who hit people with cars.

According to police, two suspects were arrested. The two come from the same family from Hebron, a city in the occupied West Bank, and entered Israel illegally, according to police.

“They drove together to two different locations, took two cars and launched a series of attacks,” Central District police chief Avi Biton told reporters in Raanana.

There was no immediate claim to responsibility.

At least one of the vehicles was stolen, police said.

Israeli television showed personal items strewn on a sidewalk and said children were among the injured.
