Arrest goes wrong A police officer and a driver escape

Arrest goes wrong: A police officer and a driver escape at the last minute –

A police officer and the driver he pulled over for a traffic violation experienced the ultimate horror last Thursday when a cube truck hit their vehicles.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on eastbound Highway 20, near Saint-Apollinaire, in Chaudière-Appalaches.

A police officer, still in his vehicle, had just pulled to the side of the road behind the driver he had just intercepted.

A cube truck traveling eastbound in the right lane and ignoring the safety corridor collided head-on with the two vehicles.

“The three vehicles were damaged, but none of those involved were injured,” the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) confirmed in a press release.

The image released by police shows that the accident could have been much more serious. The truck driver received a $322 fine and 4 penalty points for failure to comply with the safety corridor.

Speed and alcohol

Last Saturday, a 20-year-old Quebec driver received a $1,414 fine and 14 demerit points for speeding.

At around 1:30 a.m. she was traveling westbound on the Capitale Highway, near the Robert Bourassa Highway, at 170 km/h. His driving license was also revoked for seven days.

For his part, a 26-year-old driver from Lévis had to give up his license for three months because he rolled over on the Quebec Bridge near Chemin Saint-Louis at around 2:30 a.m. on Monday.

As he suffered no serious injuries, he was taken straight to the police station, where an alcohol test revealed results that were above the legal limit.
