Cuba thanks the support for the African Solidarity Meeting

During the platform, the Foreign Minister also thanked the participants for their condemnation of the inclusion of Cuba in the one-sided list of countries that support terrorism.

The VII African Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba ended this Wednesday with the adoption of an action plan and a final declaration by the 245 delegates from 28 nations.

The action proposal to strengthen cooperation with Cuba covers the areas of education, health, science and technology; Pan-African solidarity, economic cooperation; Solidarity from person to person.

Likewise with initiatives related to government-to-government and diplomatic relations; Culture; women and youth.

Among the delegates' proposals, the call to make additional efforts in the fight for a peaceful and just world order stands out.

Participants adopted, among other programmatic measures, to remain united in efforts to raise awareness and intensify peaceful political protests against U.S. embassies.

They expressed this in the context of their continued condemnation of the US blockade of Cuba, its extraterritorial effects and the foreign occupation of part of Guantanamo Bay.

The participants of the VII meeting committed to deepening relations of cooperation between Cuba and Africa in various areas, including trade, investment and financial relations, medical care, education, agriculture, infrastructure development and maintenance, as well as energy, science and technology.
