New failure from Dr Jordan Peterson in court

New failure from Dr. Jordan Peterson in court.

Checkmate for controversial psychologist Jordan Peterson: The Ontario Court of Appeal refuses to hear him on his professional conduct order that required him to complete professional training in social media in 2022 under threat of loss of professional rights.

Jordan Peterson claimed the College of Psychologists of Ontario was trying to undermine his reputation and revoke his right to practice psychology in the province, but the Ontario Divisional Court had already dismissed his lawsuit last summer.

The district court upheld the order of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, which had ordered him to complete mentor training to learn how to speak out in public.

At the time, the lower court ruled that the college had the right to order its members to attend such training after what they deemed to be inappropriate comments made in public or on social media.

In its ruling, the court wrote that the Order's decision was appropriate, balanced and reasonable in light of the organization's mandate and regulations and the Canadian Code of Professional Ethics for Psychologists.

Still, Mr. Peterson quickly responded on his

They want me to undergo rehabilitation – which they know will take up my time but will still fail – in order to damage my reputation and deprive me of the right to practice, he adds .

Jordan Peterson is a retired University of Toronto psychology professor. With this refusal from the Court of Appeal, the Toronto psychologist has now exhausted all legal options.
