Late concert start: Madonna is followed by two spectators – Le Journal de Québec

Madonna's bad habit of keeping people waiting didn't sit well with two New York men who filed a lawsuit against the diva after a concert at Barclays Center that started two hours late.

Madonna's show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on December 13 was supposed to start at 8:30 p.m., but the singer, who will perform in Montreal this Thursday, didn't take the stage until 10:30 p.m.

The two men mentioned in the complaint, a copy of which was obtained by Entertainment Weekly, that the public transportation situation was more difficult and expensive as they left the concert around 1 a.m. Due to personal and professional commitments, they also complained that the show ended late on a weekday.

The lawsuit also mentions performances on December 12th and 14th, also at the Barclays Center, for which Madonna also failed to show up on time.

This is not the first time that Madonna has faced complaints from viewers unhappy with her lack of punctuality. In 2019, a Florida man took the same action after arriving two hours late to his performance at the Fillmore in Miami Beach.

“There is something you need to understand; A queen is never late,” she told the crowd during a concert in Las Vegas that same year.
