The participants of BBB 24 caused excitement this Thursday afternoon (18) during the special screening of the first chapter of the soap opera Renascer, which only premieres on Monday (22) for the Brazilian audience. Some of those imprisoned preferred to sleep rather than follow Globo's plot. “People are having a lot of fun with it,” scoffed one netizen.
The “gift” sent by production was revealed to the brothers after they were told to meet in the room. Lucas Henrique, host of the week, read that they could see the debut of the series in front of the public. Those locked up also received some snacks.
A few minutes into the soap opera, Vanessa, Marcus Vinicius, MC Bin Laden, Michel and other participants appeared to be sleeping or talking instead of paying attention to the series.
On X, formerly Twitter, internet users made fun of the situation. “The people at BBB 24 are really enjoying the soap opera Renascer, they're not even tired, are they?” Alex joked. “Vanessa Lopes loves the first chapter of Renascer and sleeps on Yasmin Brunet's shoulder,” commented user Gigi.
Another fan of the reality show said that Globo had decided to test the soap opera before airing it, but the advertising would have no effect. “The test audience for the soap opera Renascer is almost asleep,” joked Michael. “People almost fell asleep when they saw this Renascer bomb,” said netizen Iza.
“The BBB people were very excited when they saw the first chapter of the soap opera Renascer: some sleeping, others looking into space (laughs),” commented user Roberta.
What is the story of Renascer?
Renascer is an adaptation by Bruno Luperi based on his grandfather Benedito Ruy Barbosa's original 1993 version. The story follows José Inocêncio (Humberto Carrão/Marcos Palmeiro) from his arrival in southern Bahia to his rise to become one of the richest in the region. His success is attributed to a pact he supposedly made with the devil a crampons trapped in a bottle.
The new soap opera premieres this Monday (22) replacing Terra and Paixão. The first phase of the plot consists of 13 chapters and features Juliana Paes, Antonio Calloni, Humberto Carrão, Enrique Diaz, Duda Santos and Fábio Lago, among others.
