A former children's party clown who has already been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting three children has just been accused of attacking two other little girls in the 1990s. Julien Bouchard was released conditionally at the Longueuil courthouse on Thursday.

The 64-year-old Laval resident is charged with four counts of sexual assault and sexual contact with two children under 14 between 1996 and 1998 in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville. The two little girls were children of his environment.
Julien Bouchard, for whom an arrest warrant was issued on January 15, appeared arrested at the Longueuil courthouse on Thursday afternoon.
This is not Julien Bouchard's first brush with the law. In the mid-1990s he attacked three children in the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield area. His victims were children of friends or relatives.

In June 1999, he pleaded guilty to several counts of sexual contact at the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield courthouse. According to information in the case file, he was sentenced to six months in prison and two years of probation.
Julien Bouchard would have claimed five lives within a few years in the 1990s.
According to our information, at this time Julien Bouchard was increasing the number of jobs that could bring him into contact with minors. He particularly appeared as a clown at children's parties. But that's not all. He was also a singer at religious ceremonies and a kayak guide.
As part of his release conditions, Julien Bouchard is not allowed to have any contact with minors. He is also prohibited from being in a park or in a place frequented by children or from taking a position that could allow him to assume a position of authority over children.
The case will be heard again next March at the Longueuil courthouse.
