Hilary Duff is making good progress! The pregnant Lizzie McGuire star wears comfy workout clothes after announcing she's expecting baby No. 4

Hilary Duff enjoyed a solo shopping spree in LA on Wednesday as she prepared for the birth of her fourth child.

The 36-year-old showed off her growing baby bump in comfortable black high-waisted leggings and a taupe tank top.

She wore black mules on her feet and carried a bag from Jayde's Market deli in the Beverly Glen neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The Lizzie McGuire alum – who recently found out plans for a reboot were scrapped – climbed into her SUV and headed to her next destination.

Hilary has a son, Luca, 11, with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.

She and musician Matthew Koma, 36, welcomed their five-year-old daughter Banks in 2018 and their two-year-old Mae in 2021.

Lizzie McGuire fans were disappointed when Disney+ scrapped plans to reboot the series in 2020, which would have been dedicated to the life and adventures of an adult Lizzie.

Luckily, this week one of the reboot's writers, Jonathan Hurwitz, took to TikTok to reveal the planned plot details.

The series was planned to begin with 30-year-old Lizzie moving home from New York City after finding out that her boyfriend cheated on her with one of her friends.

Hurwitz then quickly dashed any hopes of a romantic reunion between Lizzie and her best friend Gordo, even though they kissed at the end of the 2002 Lizzie McGuire film.

“Lizzie meets with Gordo and Gordo reveals that he's engaged to a woman and she's pregnant and they're really happy,” Hurwitz explained. “So no, in this version Lizzie and Gordo wouldn't have ended up together.”

However, at the end of Episode 2, “Lizzie got a text from Ethan Craft and little animated Lizzie fainted,” according to Hurwitz.

Ethan was Lizzie's middle school crush, and in the reboot, the writers suggested that the two might end up spending the night together.

“Episode 3 wasn’t shot, but there was a script for it,” Hurwitz said. “Lizzie wakes up in Ethan's bed in his beach polo t-shirt.”

“The animated Lizzie shows up and she has this little checklist, like a to-do list, and Ethan is on the list.” She checks it off and I think she says something like, “Well, I got the box checked.” [dramatic pause] twice.”'

Hurwitz also confirmed that Lizzie would have a gay roommate, largely based on himself.

“Lizzie McQuire” quickly became a huge Disney Channel hit after its debut in 2001.

This was followed by the humorous escapades of teenager Lizzie, who navigates through puberty with her animated alter ego and provides funny comments.

Duff has been promoting the reboot heavily on social media and even shared the sad news of the cancellation on her Instagram account.

“I know there have been efforts and conversations everywhere to make a reboot work, but unfortunately and despite everyone's best efforts, it's not going to happen,” she wrote at the time.

“I want any reboot of Lizzie to be honest and authentic and show who Lizzie would be today.” That's what the character deserves.

“We can all take a moment to mourn the amazing woman she would have been and the adventures we would have had with her,” she concluded.
