Player Ratings Atletico Madrid 4 2 Real Madrid Copa

Player Ratings: Atletico Madrid 4 – 2 Real Madrid; Copa del Rey 2024 quarterfinals – manage Madrid

Full Player Ratings:

Andriy Lunin – 3: The focus of criticism is Lino and Morata's goals, particularly the latter in which he “switched off” and opted to hit the ball rather than save it with both hands. Had good distribution of long balls.

Dani Carvajal—8: He fought hard with Lino and Greizmann and often emerged victorious in 50/50 duels.

Toni Rüdiger—7: Lino's goal will be the only blemish in Rüdiger's book. Otherwise, he was locked in and had a game-high 8 clearances.

Nachos – 8.5: Phenomenal performance – never let Morata breathe. Night and day against Alaba's cameo at the Metropolitano earlier this year. Had several successful tackles in the 1-on-1 game against Greizmann.

Mendy—7: Continues his strong form with another strong performance, particularly defensively.

Camavinga—7: Formed a good partnership with Fede in the middle of the park and broke the lines with his ball play. Finished the game as a left-back.

Fede Valverde – 6.5: Worked tirelessly to close gaps and limit space in Atleti's midfield.

Luka Modric – 6.5: Combines well with his teammates and finds free spaces on the right with Rodrygo and Carvajal. Ancelotti switched positions with Fede in the second half and both players suffered.

Jude Bellingham – 9: Sensational. What a player – we’ve been saying that all season. Almost scored after his shot bounced off the crossbar. With his smooth dribbling, he glided across the pitch and managed to skillfully get out of even the most difficult situations. Produced the late equalizer for Joselu.

Vinicius Junior – 5: Bad game – too busy with the referee, the opposition fans and the Atleti players.

Rodrygo – 7: In the 75th minute he hit the crossbar in a moment that would have changed the game. Was the better option from the Vinicius-Rodrygo duo that evening and was perhaps unfairly substituted.

Substitutions:

Brahim – 6.5: Combined with Rodrygo and was the architect of the play that resulted in Rodrygo's shot hitting the woodwork. Worked very hard defensively and had a moment as a right-back playing 1v1 against Morata and winning the ball.

Toni Kroos – 7.5: 3 key passes and many crucial interceptions in his 50 minutes on the pitch.

Tchouameni—5: The necessary intensity and concentration for the game was missing.

Joselu—7: Once again he came up big with the late equalizer off the bench.

Dani Ceballos – N/A: Late substitution in the 106th minute for Eduardo Camavinga.

Fran Garcia – N/A: Late Nacho was substituted in the 106th minute.
