We cannot deny that Pierre Poilievre is shaking up Canada's political class. The leader of Canada's Conservative Party also wasn't afraid this week to attack the elected municipal representatives of Quebec and Montreal, a line that is usually never crossed. Some voices compare Mr. Poilievre to Donald Trump. But, is this really the truth?

According to Ms. Latraverse, the differences between the two men are enormous.
“Pierre Poilievre is not a billionaire who stole from his employees, who made his fortune on bad debts and who was a reality TV host,” she said.
Nevertheless, according to the political analyst, the political goals of the two men could not be more opposite.
“We are not in the same register at all,” believes Emmanuelle Latraverse.
