NHL: Pastrnak has fun against the Avalanche

David Pastrnak put on a show during the Boston Bruins' 5-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday at TD Garden.

The Boston team's number 88 scored two goals in 2 minutes and 14 seconds at the end of the game, completing his hat trick. He had previously scored the opening goal after 27 minutes of play with a perfect shot that beat Alexandar Georgiev into the top right corner.

The first twenty minutes of the game were particularly difficult for the visitors, who returned to the dressing room with a 1-3 deficit. However, Nathan MacKinnon allowed his team to reduce the deficit to just one goal after two periods of play.

Additionally, the Avalanche star has scored at least one point in his last nine meetings and has still not been off the scoresheet since the start of 2024. His linemate Jonathan Drouin finished his evening of work with a difference of -2 in 21 min. 03 s of play.

Jakub Lauko and Jake DeBrusk also scored for the Bruins, while Miles Wood was the other Colorado player to respond.

Jeremy Swayman made 30 saves in the win, while his opponent Georgiev stopped 26 pucks.

A two-point night for Pacioretty

Max Pacioretty and the Washington Capitals scored a convincing 5-2 win against the St. Louis Blues.

The former Canada captain scored his first two-point night of the season thanks largely to two assists on TJ Oshie's first two goals of the night. The latter was the best architect of his team's victory as he shook the ropes three times.

Blues defender Justin Faulk was also talked about for the wrong reasons. He gave his opponents a 2-1 lead by scoring an own goal, which was then credited to Nicolas Aube-Kubel.

Nathan Walker scored both goals for the Missouri organization.

Thanks to this win, the Capitals have a record of 22-15-6, good for fourth place in the Metropolitan Section.

The stars are sinking in Philadelphia

In a one-sided game, the Philadelphia Flyers won 5-1 against the Dallas Stars.

John Tortorella's men only allowed 15 shots on goal and also hit Jake Oettinger 43 times. Owen Tippett in particular had a productive evening with two goals. He also put on a show for his second goal of the game, spinning past defender Joel Hanley before beating the Stars goalkeeper with a backhand shot.

Sean Walker, Scott Laughton and Cam Atkinson also joined in the fun for Philadelphia. Tyler Seguin is the only Stars player who managed to fool Samuel Ersson's guard.
