With his powerful voice and peculiar hip movements, Luis Miguel captured the hearts of thousands of people who gathered for the first of three performances he will give at the Puerto Rico Coliseum as part of the 2024 Luis Miguel Tour.

El Sol de México performed almost thirty songs with which they managed to receive wild applause and screams from the Puerto Rican audience after not performing on Puerto Rican soil for five years. His last presentation on the island took place in March 2019.

On a simple but at the same time impressive stage, the artist demonstrated his vocal maturity and stage control. However, unlike previous performances, the performer made sure to reach higher notes in some songs but still managed to wow the audience with his level of interpretation.

You could hear sentences like: “He sings brutally” and “He’s so beautiful” from the audience all night long.

Latin hits such as Sera que no me amas, Suave, La Inconditional, Hasta que meforges and Entrégate were part of the repertoire. He was always accompanied by an orchestra of just over 10 musicians who, like the singer born in Puerto Rico 53 years ago, never lost their energy.

As he presented the audience with an updated version of “Beneath the Table” and “I Don't Know You,” he was accompanied by a dozen violinists. For the song Sonríe, which he recorded with Michael Jackson in 2006, he did a virtual duet with the late King of Pop using artificial intelligence. The same thing happened in the song Come Flye With me, which united Sol de México with Frank Sinatra. It should be noted that Luis Miguel was considered the Latin Frank Sinatra.

A mariachi arrived at the Colosseum to accompany Luis Miguel in the performance of the songs La fiesta del mariachi, La Bikina and La mediavuelta. The audience stood to sing along with Mickey the songs that are part of the 2017 production México por siempre.

For this final part of the concert he had a small outfit change and wore a black silk vest and shirt. For the first hour of the concert he wore a traditional black suit with a tie and white shirt.

He played more than thirty songs. >Included▲

The evening was recorded with more than three cameras and a drone that walked through the audience and approached the singer. In fact, Luis Miguel once took the drone and recorded the audience to the rhythm of “A Man Searching for a Woman.”

The Sun's meeting with the island's audience culminated in a medley of his classics “Now You Can Leave”, “The Girl in the Blue Bikini”, “Isabel” and “When the Sun Warms”.

It should be noted that the artist did not speak at any point during the nearly two-hour concert.

The Luis Miguel Tour continues on Monday, January 22nd and ends on Tuesday at the Puerto Rico Coliseum.
