Showing up at a screening is a statement of principle coupled with a balance of available time and commitment. The space you occupy within the demonstration also says a lot about your position within the movement. At the front of the demonstration are the politicians, the famous and the supporters. The presence of the trailers never goes beyond the limits (they would rather). The presence of famous people does.
Itzíar Ituño falls into the category of famous, and by putting herself at the forefront of the Sare demonstration, she has sent a message. The result is that he lost two contracts. Brands don't want characters who engage in political causes. Years ago, YouTuber JPelirrojo lost his contract with an ice cream brand for celebrating the death of bullfighter Víctor Barrio. Rafa Nadal has lost contracts for accepting a job in Saudi Arabia. Najat el Hachmi was harassed because he spoke openly about his knowledge. Sometimes fair, sometimes unfair, that's how things are. To represent a brand you have to be a white and stupid continent. You have to be a stupid person and be famous. You must be a Paula Echevarría or a Dulceida.
It strikes me how anyone could complain about the lack of freedom of expression in a world as interconnected as that of culture and entertainment. Itzíar Ituño was fortunate to join one of the causes that can be defended within his sector but not from outside. We all know that there are causes that can be defended publicly and causes that cannot be defended publicly. For the rest, you must always act as you would appear on the stage of a José Luis Moreno program. Smile, act, applaud and, if possible, think a little. Anyone who denies this is a cynic or a liar. The most pleasant thing in this life is to see, hear and be silent. The only way to never make mistakes.
