The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil, met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, during the third G77+China South Summit to discuss issues of global concern within the framework of the demands of the countries of the Global South.

According to a video published by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry on social networks, points to transform the global financial system were discussed. Present at this meeting were the Venezuelan UN Ambassador Samuel Moncada, the Deputy Minister for Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Relations, Rubén Darío Molina, and the Chancellor Yván Gil.

The meeting was part of the third G77 + China Southern Summit, the aim of which is to promote the economic interests of the Global South, and at which the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reiterates its willingness to maintain and strengthen existing cooperation with the organization and its agencies .
Foreign Minister Gil expressed the interest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in requesting the Organization's support to address the phenomenon of migratory flows from a comprehensive and humanistic perspective, through an international conference in Venezuela without exclusions, where agreements and commitments will be made become.
