Home Alone star Devin Ratray was reportedly “hospitalized” during his domestic violence trial.
A family member revealed to TMZ that the actor, best known for his role as Kevin McCallister's evil older brother in the 1990 Macaulay Culkin Christmas film, is “in critical condition.”
The New York native, 47, has since been released from the hospital and is “back home to rest per doctor's orders.”
The jury selection process was originally scheduled to begin Monday in an Oklahoma courtroom but was postponed until next month.
Home Alone star Devin Ratray was reportedly “hospitalized” during his domestic violence trial (pictured in 2018).
In December 2021, he was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly strangling his girlfriend in a hotel room in Oklahoma.
He reportedly became angry with his girlfriend while the couple were drinking at a bar after she didn't ask for an autograph from two female fans.
The fight then continued into the hotel room, where he allegedly became violent and attempted to strangle her.
After they returned to their hotel room at the Hyatt Place Oklahoma City, Ratray allegedly pushed her onto the bed before placing one hand on her neck and the other over her mouth.
“The victim had difficulty breathing while being strangled and while the defendant's hand was over her mouth,” an affidavit states.
Ratray also reportedly told her, “This is how you die,” as he continued to choke her.
His girlfriend then bit Ratray's hand as she tried to scream for help.
He then stopped choking her but then allegedly began violently beating her.

She then managed to free herself from Ratray's grasp and ran out of the room.
Ratray also allegedly hit her against a desk when she returned to the room to collect her belongings.
According to KFOR, the victim was found with multiple injuries, including bruising under the left eye, marks under the right eye, marks above the left side of the lip, a bruise on the chest and a sore arm.
The couple separated after the heated argument.
At that point, a police source revealed that Ratray had “turned himself in and placed himself under arrest,” according to Fox News.
He has since been released from custody after posting $25,000 bail and denies the allegations.

Last year it was revealed that New York authorities were also investigating him over allegations that he raped a woman in New York in 2017.
After learning about the assault case, Lisa Smith contacted prosecutors about a police report she filed in 2017 in which she accused the actor of raping her.
She told CNN she wanted to know why the case was not pursued and was informed that authorities thought she wanted to remain anonymous and not press charges.
Smith claims that she was friends with the actor for about 15 years before the alleged assault, adding that she met her brother and Ratray, along with another friend, for a drink in New York right before the attack.
The group then went to Ratary's apartment for some more drinks, where he insisted that Smith have a specific glass.
She says she became exhausted soon after drinking, and Ratray encouraged her to stay over and sleep on the couch.
Smith believes she was drugged by the star, saying: “I remember waking up and not being able to move.”
“I couldn't really open my eyes, but I could hear what was happening and I could feel what was happening.
“I knew the other two people were gone and I was still on the couch.”

She claims the attack lasted for what felt like “an eternity” and that she only regained control of her body the next day around 2pm when she fled the apartment.
The day after the attack, Smith told a friend, her sister and one of her brothers what had happened, then confronted Ratray via text message.
He denied the attack, so a few weeks later Smith filed a police report and met in Salt Lake City with an NYPD detective – who falsely stated she didn't want to press charges.
Smith added that she was “devastated” that police failed to investigate her allegations when she came forward.
At the time of the incident, she was traveling from out of state to be interviewed at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office and provided her with the clothing she was wearing the night of the attack.
She added: “Why would I have even met with the prosecutor years ago if I wasn’t prepared to press charges? … This all really worried me.”
“When I saw him accused of assaulting someone else, I realized I had to do everything I could to stop him from hurting more women.”
Smith claims she met with a prosecutor in the sex crimes unit in the Manhattan district attorney's office in May who apologized for the way the case was handled.
When contacted by CNN, Ratray said he remembered the evening with Smith but denied her claims that he raped her.
