Patrick Roy won't have to wait long to rejoin the first team with which he won the Stanley Cup in 1986. His Islanders will face the Canadians on Thursday at the Bell Centre.

This is the first time Roy has coached a game in Montreal since November 14, 2015, and it is also his first meeting abroad at the helm of his new team.
During that “famous” game in November 2015, the team of the former goalkeeper, who was then on the Avalanche bench, crushed the Canadian 6-1.
His only victory
To illustrate how long it's been (obviously, since Roy is back in the league after a seven-year absence), Mike Condon and Dustin Tokarski then shared work in front of the Canadian's net…
Brendan Gallagher scored the only goal for CH, assisted by Max Pacioretty and Tomas Plekanec.
However, it was his only win against the Canadiens in Montreal, at the Bell Centre, as an NHL head coach.
In his other two appearances, Roy suffered defeats of 6–3 on March 18, 2014 and 3–2 on October 18 of the same year.
Resellers beware
And a note for fans who would like to purchase tickets for Thursday's game: As of this writing on Sunday, ticket sellers weren't too excited.
At least not as much as when Chicago Blackhawks phenom Connor Bedard visited in October, when some tried to sell two tickets for $4,235.
Single tickets for Thursday's meeting were still available on the Ticketmaster website for $121.
