ADVERTISING. Already known for the variety and quality of its accommodation offer, the Parc Massif du Sud has been offering outdoor enthusiasts a new high-end product for several weeks with the arrival of five new Éclipse Ready to Camping products, a unique product , which is produced in Quebec together with the company Biome from Saint-Nicolas (Lévis).

“These new accommodations, with large windows and facing the forest, allow users to enjoy a new, immersive experience in nature, very close to hiking trails, mountain bike trails or cross-country ski trails,” explains the general director of the Parc Massif du South, Jean François Préfontaine.

These ready-to-use campsites, called Eclipse des Explorateurs, Eclipse des Randonneurs, Eclipse des Nomades, Eclipse des Montagnards and Eclipse des Voyageurs, are located less than 100 meters from the Desjardins pavilion and allow users to take advantage of all the services available. Be it the sanitary facilities with showers, the multi-purpose room for groups, the kitchen area or the dining and lounge room.

These are scheduled to be electrified over the course of 2024, which will increase user comfort.

“We are in the heart of the park and it is also within walking distance from the reception station,” continues Mr. Préfontaine, adding that Eclipse ready-to-camp is aimed at singles as well as couples or families.

At this point we would like to emphasize that what sets the Éclipse camp-ready accommodation apart from other accommodation of this type is that it is a “100% Chaudière-Appalaches” integrated product, designed by a company in the region, Biome which has adapted its basic concept to the needs of the Parc Massif du Sud and its customers.

“This is part of an environmentally conscious mission where we create a connection between wood, a renewable resource that is ubiquitous, a canvas that can be recycled and buildings in the middle of nature. “We offer people an outdoor experience and that is part of our mission,” Mr. Préfontaine also specifies, adding that the arrival of these ready-to-live-in campers will allow the Parc Massif du Sud to increase its reception capacity and promote retention Region is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts in the Quebec and Chaudière-Appalaches regions.

A product for families

“I'm someone who enjoys going to regional parks, and I design my accommodations as if I were the one using them. We respond to a need. It is comfortable, durable and almost maintenance-free,” says Mr. Ghislain Rousseau, founder of Biome, adding that this new product is aimed at different types of customers. “It is important that grandparents can come here with their grandchildren. We even have space for playpens. It is truly a product for families,” he emphasizes, mentioning that each Ready to Camp product is designed and manufactured based on three specific criteria: comfort, durability and safety.

Jean François Préfontaine also recalls that the Parc Massif du Sud worked closely with Biome in the development and production of the new Eclipse ready-to-camp models, adapted to the needs of the park and offering a very low energy bill well insulated and easy to heat in winter. As winter activities develop more and more in winter, the same applies to the shoulder seasons. The park remains open in October and April and is intended to be a four-season destination.
You can practice hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, fat biking and mountain biking and children up to 12 years old have free entry to the Parc du Massif du Sud. The equipment is also available for rental for those who wish to reserve it.

“People who come at this time want to find a job, relax in the forest, play sports or even work in complete peace. “We have free Wi-Fi access in the Desjardins pavilion and we have priority here too,” he specifies, mentioning that the new Éclipse Ready-to-Camps, located in the new Bouleaux campsite inaugurated last year, by vehicle are accessible in summer.

“With Eclipse ready-to-camp we offer our customers a higher quality product with a certain level of service, but our accommodation offering also includes prospector tents, shelters, mini-PODs, mega-pods and campsites for tents, small motorhomes and small trailers.

These are products in different price ranges for all types of customers. As a regional park, our mission is to facilitate access to nature and this includes services and prices adapted to everyone,” continues Jean François Préfontaine, adding that three new wild winter campsites are also accessible in the Beaudoin sector, including five.
