Nadia was recently at the center of a bitter dispute after she was accused of using her social media account to spread pro-Palestinian propaganda while ignoring the suffering of Israelis murdered and kidnapped by Hamas terrorists.
The Mail on Sunday revealed in November last year that ITV was bombarded with complaints from viewers angry at what it said was a “one-sided” stance after the conflict began after Hamas terrorists committed atrocities in southern Israel on October 7.
In Instagram posts, Nadia angered Loose Women viewers, many of whom were Jewish, after she appeared to support pro-Palestinian activists who argued that the best way to ensure the return of the hostages, including several Britons, was to do so That Israel would join in a ceasefire in Gaza, although many military experts and politicians, including Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer, argue that this would only give Hamas time to replenish its weapons.
An ITV insider confirmed that the channel's switchboard had been “bombarded” with viewers saying they were angry about Sawalha's stance on Gaza and wanted to know the best way to lodge complaints against her with ITV bosses.
“We were quite surprised at the amount of complaints about Nadia over the past week. It's pretty unusual to get a reaction like that.
“But then again, Israel/Palestine has always been a very divisive issue.”
People commenting online also asked why she was “silent on July 10.”

Nadia told Web: “I spoke about the terrible tragedy of October 7th and the ongoing hostage crisis for Israel.”
“As a British Arab, I have also spoken out about the plight of the Palestinians and, like millions of other humanitarian workers, I firmly believe that a ceasefire is the most humane way forward for both the innocent hostages and innocent civilians in Gaza.” The West Bank.'
Meanwhile, Nadia's cameraman husband Mark Adderley also weighed in on the argument, defending his wife's stance, pointing out that Hamas's murder of 1,400 men, women and children and the taking of over 240 innocent people hostage in Gaza was “the whole “caught the world's attention.” but that the conversation had now “moved on”.
Nadia is the daughter of Jordan-born British actor Nadim Sawalha and his English wife Roberta Lane. She is the sister of television actress Julia Sawalha and appeared with her in Lily Savage's series “Deckey Blank”.
